Milwaukee Mustangs
With a history dating back to 1994, the Milwaukee Mustangs recently returned to their roots of Arena Football at the Bradley Center.
After the founding ownership of the Mustangs sold the team following its 2001 season, there was a visible void in the Milwaukee marketplace for arena football. It was not until 2009 that the void was filled, when the Mustangs were revived under the name, Milwaukee Iron, joining the arena football 2 league (af2) - the development league for the AFL. After completing a 5-11 season in the af2, the Iron’s ownership joined the AFL in 2010 where they experienced a great deal of succes, finishing with a 12-6 record, a Midwest Division title, and a playoff victory over rival, Chicago Rush. Although the team fell just short of a berth in the Arena Bowl Championship Game in a second round playoff loss on the road to the Spokane Shock, they still work hard to provide fans with exhilarating entertainment that keeps them fired up throughout their entire summer season.
Today, the Milwaukee Mustangs continue to grow their successes under the new ownership of Milwaukee native businessmen, Chris Rebholz, Todd Hansen, and Dave Bahl.
