Who runs the concessions operation at the Bradley Center?

The Bradley Center food and beverage program is operated by Levy Restaurants and members of local not-for-profit community service organizations.

What role is played by members of not-for-profit organizations?

Members of not-for-profit community service groups play a critical role in the success of the concessions operation. With training and support from Center personnel, group members are responsible for the operation of individual concession stands for most events held at the Center.

Groups are responsible for managing the operation of a stand and for all the logistics involved in serving guests throughout an event. Group members serve guests at the stand counter, handle cash and food products, dispense soda and beer, account for cash and inventory and clean up the stand at the conclusion of the event.

What kind of commitment is required from a group?

Participation in the Bradley Center concessions program is a significant commitment for a group. It requires 12-18 members of a group to work approximately 20-25 times a year. All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Can spouses, relatives or friends of group members participate?

The individual group must set policy on this issue. The Center welcomes spouses, relatives or friends of group members to support the efforts of the group members.

Are there any age restrictions on who can work in a stand?

All group members working in stands must be 18 years of age or older and physically able to perform basic food operation duties.

What requirements are necessary for a group to participate in this program?

Each group must provide the Bradley Center with documentation of its status as an IRC 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization on or before the date of its first event.

Each group must maintain for the entire term of the contract with the Bradley Center commercial General Liability Insurance in the amount of $500,000 and shall name the Bradley Center as an additional insured under that policy.

How can a group become involved in the program?

If a group is interested in being considered for possible future openings, a letter of interest should be sent to: Dawn Rice, Levy Restaurants, 1001 North Fourth Street, Milwaukee, WI 53203-1314. The letter should include information as to the purpose of the group, its status as a not-for-profit organization, information as to how the funds from its participation in the program will be utilized, and an indication of how it plans to provide volunteers. Any other questions can be directed to contact Dawn Rice at 414/219-8431.
